CCTV: Man wanted by police after attempted theft from Morrisons supermarket on Station Road, New Milton




POLICE have released a CCTV picture after a thief tried to steal alcohol and steaks were from a New Milton supermarket.

The incident at Morrisons on Station Road happened between 6.35pm and 6.50pm on Saturday 25th January, when the man tried to leave the store with more than £100 worth of items. Staff recovered the items at the door.

The force is now appealing for help to identify the man, who is white, of slim build, and wearing a grey shirt, grey jacket, dark grey trousers and black shoes.

A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “We believe the man pictured can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.

“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
