Suspended jail term for Christchurch motorist Dale Sharp for offences relating to crash on Cambridge Road in Bournemouth




Not stopping or reporting a crash which injured a woman landed a Christchurch motorist with a suspended prison sentence.

Dale Sharp (42), of Glider Close, pleaded guilty to the two offences, having been the driver of a Vauxhall Astra involved in the incident on Cambridge Road in Bournemouth on 7th December 2023.

Sharp also pleaded guilty to failing to give information relating to the Vauxhall driver’s identity on 25th January, when they were alleged to be guilty of an offence.

Poole magistrates handed down a 15-week jail term, suspended for 12 months, with a supervision order. This required he undergo rehabilitation activity.

Sharp was also banned from the roads for 12 months and told to pay £85 prosecution costs.
