Mayor Cllr David Hawkins visited the home to see the changes and enjoy live music and food prepared by the home’s in-house chefs.

He said: “It’s wonderful to return to celebrate this remarkable redevelopment. It was evident from everyone I met how dedicated Barton Lodge is to delivering exceptional care and luxury amenities for their residents. I am excited to see the home continue to flourish in the years ahead.”

Amanda Cooper, manager of Barton Lodge, added: “We are thrilled with our redevelopment and were delighted to welcome so many people to our open day and get such incredible feedback.”

The site is run by Mancourt Ltd, which has just been named in the ‘Top 20 Group Award’ for the eighth year running by carehome.co.uk.
