Former Bransgore Medical Centre to be turned back into home as NFDC give green light
PLANNING chiefs have agreed to allow the former Bransgore Medical Centre to be turned back into a dwelling.
As reported by the A&T, the applicant requested a change of use to turn the old facility in Ringwood Road back into a home last December.
New Forest district councillors followed officers’ recommendations to approve the application, saying that “prior approval” for the dwelling has been approved by them once again.
NFDC has stipulated that redevelopment work must begin on the property within the next three years and must comply with a flood risk assessment for the area.
Officers wrote: “The site lies within the built up area of Bransgore in the village centre adjacent to the shopping parade. It contains a detached two-storey building last used as a medical centre. It has a vehicular access to the Ringwood Road and a pedestrian access to the side onto the road to the rear of the parade.
“The site is well screened from the road by a mature boundary hedge and trees with a conifer hedge separating it from the adjoining residential property to the north west.”
