Milford man arrested after assault reported at Hordle Premier Inn

A MILFORD man has been arrested after an incident at Hordle's Premier Inn yesterday (Thursday).

Police were called to the hotel on Silver Street at around 3.35pm after reports two people, including a staff member, were assaulted by a man.

A spokesperson from Hampshire police said a man had been restrained by a member of the public, and a woman suffered minor injuries.

A 58-year-old man from Milford was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He remains in custody this morning.
