Little Millie Hedges from New Forest is having her long hair chopped off for The Little Princess Charity
A Pennington youngster is raising money for a charity which makes wigs for children and teenagers who have lost their hair by having her own lengthy locks cut off.
Millie Hedges (7) is going to have 16 inches of her hair cut off for The Little Princess Trust and is asking for donations to reach a target of £150.
Her mum Joanna says the sponsored chop was all “entirely Millie’s idea” adding: “She has wanted to donate her hair to the charity for the longest time but we decided to let it grow for the maximum donation.
“The wonderful JC at Guy Kremer hairdressers in Lymington will doing the honours on the 8th of August.”
“We are extremely proud of Millie and her decision to donate.”
The £40 cost of the haircut has been donated to Millie’s GoFundMe page.
Local author Lawrance Roberts who wrote Snip!, a book about a little girl who cuts her hair for the trust, is also giving 10% of ever sale of the book, which can be found at Waterstones in Lymington, to the charity and he has given Millie her very own copy.
