Flood alerts for Beaulieu, Eling, Marchwood, Hythe and Christchurch on Tuesday 8th November




A fresh batch of flood alerts has been issued for today (Tuesday).

Following yesterday's tidal swells, more strong, force-six south-westerly winds are expected, the Environment Agency says.

The tides at 10.30am and 12.31pm will affect New Forest areas, with flooding expected at Mill Pond and Palace Lane in Beaulieu, Eling Tide Mill, Magazine Lane in Marchwood and Shore Road in Hythe.

At Christchurch Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Stour and Avon rivers, tides at 8.15am and midday may see "flooding of low-lying land".

Higher-than-normal tides in Christchurch are anticipated up to tomorrow morning.
