Biker suffers serious injuries in collision with car on A35 at Christchurch




A MOTORCYCLIST was badly hurt in a collision with a car that closed off a stretch of the A35 at Christchurch for nearly three hours.

The incident involving the Honda bike and a BMW took place in Lyndhurst Road, at the bottom of Roeshot Hill, shortly after 5pm last Friday.

Paramedics assessed and treated the rider, a man in his 50s from Bournemouth, before he was taken by ambulance to hospital.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said his injuries were believed to have been serious.

Officers kept the road closure in place until around 7.45pm to allow emergency crews to safely deal with the incident and for the scene to be cleared.
