Charlotte Jackson found her white Nissan X-Trail damaged when it was parked in a residential car parking space at a block of flats on Stour Road in Christchurch on Saturday.

“A brick was thrown through the windscreen, all four tyres had been slashed, and some sort of acid used to etch the word ‘slag’ across the bonnet.

“The same substance had been put on every panel of the car as well, ruining the paintwork. I was absolutely devastated.”

Charlotte uses the vehicle to run her own cleaning business and take her children to school. She said: “My insurance company are organising a courtesy car but it has not arrived yet, so I haven’t been able to work.

“I really worked hard to set up my business and am worried this will affect it. I am really heartbroken about what has happened, to be honest.”
