Fordingbridge man Alberto Fioletti charged with murdering Bournemouth woman Stephanie Hodgkinson after her body was found at an address on Rosemount Road
A FORDINGBRIDGE man has been charged with murder after investigations into the death of a woman in Bournemouth.
The body of Stephanie Hodgkinson (34) was found at an address on Rosemount Road after police responded to a call from the ambulance service at around 12.20pm on Friday 12th May.
Alberto Fioletti (31), of West Street in Fordingbridge, was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital.
This morning (Thursday) police said that, having been released from hospital, Fioletti had been charged with murder.
He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court today.
DI Mark Jenkins, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts remain with Stephanie’s family and we are continuing to provide updates of developments from our investigation to them.
“We will continue to do all we can to support them.
“We have consulted with the Crown Prosecution Service, which has authorised the charge against Alberto Fioletti.”
DI Jenkins continued: “It is important to stress to the public that this matter is now the subject of active court proceedings and there should be no commentary or sharing of information online or on social media that could potentially prejudice proceedings.
“It is vital that the justice system is allowed to follow its course and it would therefore not be appropriate for Dorset Police to comment any further at this time.”
