Stevenage man Slawomir Kotlowski appears at Southampton Magistrates’ Court over unsecured lorry which shed its load in Lyndhurst




A DRIVER accused of causing serious injuries to a pedestrian after an unsecured lorry shed its load in Lyndhurst has appeared in court today (Thursday).

Slawomir Kotlowski (41), of Collenswood Road, Stevenage, was arrested after the incident on 31st October 2022, which took place on the A35 Southampton Road near the former Lyndhurst Park Hotel site.

A 23-year-old woman from Totton was seriously injured when the load fell on her, and she was taken to Southampton General Hospital in a critical condition.

Kotlowski, who is charged with causing serious injury by careless driving, and using a vehicle with an unsafe load, did not formally enter any pleas when he appeared at Southampton Crown Court.

He was given unconditional bail until the next hearing on 16th August.
