Hants Division One: New Forest ladies I 1-1 Southampton II

SECOND-placed New Forest ladies’ firsts drew 1-1 with Southampton II in Hants Division One last Saturday at the Brockenhurst College Astro.

Midfielder Rachel Lloyd fired Forest ahead in the second half only for the visitors to score a late equaliser.

It was a disappointing result for Forest as the fixture had appeared to pose little threat as Southampton are currently languishing in ninth place in the table.

The game marked the 25th anniversary of Carrie Stott’s (neé Allston) first appearance for the hockey club, formerly known as New Milton H.C. Carrie (pictured above, right) started playing hockey whilst a pupil at Priestlands School and has made her way through the ranks and is now one of the first names on the Forest ladies first XI’s team sheet.
