New Forest motorist (37) dies after three-vehicle crash

A RINGWOOD motorist has died after being critically injured in a three-vehicle collision in Sixpenny Handley.

The 37-year-old woman had been driving a red Volkswagen Up BlueMotion when the incident involving a back Audi A3 and a green Isuzu pick-up took place on the B3081 around 6pm on Saturday 1st February.

Paramedics responded and, having suffered life-threatening injuries, she was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where she died on Friday morning. Her family has been informed.

Her male passenger in the Volkswagen was seriously injured in the collision.

The occupants of the Audi, one adult and two children, suffered minor injuries; as did the Isuzu’s male driver.

Police investigating the crash are urging people to come forward if they may have witnessed it or have any footage of it taking place.

Sgt Nikki Burt, of Dorset Police’s traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

“I am continuing to investigate this collision and would appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision and any motorists who have relevant dash cam footage to please come forward.”
