A HORDLE motorist caught at the wheel while more than four times the alcohol limit was handed a suspended prison sentence by magistrates.
Sam White (28), of Elizabeth Crescent, pleaded guilty to drink-driving at New Milton railway station in Station Approach on 20th September 2021.
The high reading prompted the Poole Bench to hand out the 16-week jail term, which was suspended for 12 months.
During that year, White must complete an alcohol treatment programme and carry out 60 hours of unpaid community work.
He was also banned from the roads for five years and told to pay £213 in court charges.
A charge of driving while unfit through drink, relating to the same date and location, was withdrawn.
