New Forest Runners' Darcy wins Hampshire Cross Country race

EIGHT junior athletes from the New Forest Runners took part in the last Hampshire Cross Country League match of the season, at Dibden.
The youngsters were led home by Darcy Hawkins, who finished first in the U11 girls’ race. Darcy has enjoyed a great winter, winning all four of the county league matches this season and finishing second in the Hampshire Cross-Country championships at Fairthorne Manor.
Will Hayward also posted a good time to finish fifth in the U11 boys’ race.

U11 girls: 1, Darcy Hawkins; 25, Lillie Press; 37, Emma Hall.
U11 boys: 5, Will Hayward; 34, Stanley Day.
U13 girls: 58, Mariah Marshall.
U13 boys: 18, Toby Hawkins; 47, Matthew Hall.
