THIRTY New Forest Runners club members lined up at the start of the sixth race in the eight race CC6 Series at Kings Garn hosted by Romsey, Halterworth & Southampton Tri.

The course was undulating with 500ft of elevation over the gravel and mud tracks of the New Forest. The race was well marshalled and the finish was well stocked with cake and hot drinks.

There were superb results across the board with Valeria Sesto the pick of the bunch coming home in fourth overall in the ladies’ race.

Special mention must also go to Rosemarie Osborn for her determined attitude in challenging circumstances and to Chris and Kirsty for running over from Brockenhurst.

The course represented members’ penultimate chance of competitive CC6 racing with the club hosting the final event — the next race takes place on 17th February at Ashurst Campsite.
