NEW FOREST RUNNERS got into the festive spirit at their annual Mud Run held at Wilverley before Christmas.

The runners showcased their Christmas-themed fancy dress outfits to the judges before setting out through the Forest for the 10k race.

Martin Baker had made a fabulous effort and looked stunning in his hand-made Grinch outfit, including his fingers which were made from melted bottle tops. The group winners were The Singing Snowmen.

After the recent excessive rain the course was very wet leading to much fun and frolics in the muddiest sections, which is the aim of the very sociable race.
