New Forest shoplifter Miles Filose, jailed for 16 weeks, stole more than £500 of goods from stores in Brockenhurst, Southampton and Winchester
A NEW Forest shoplifter who stole more than £500 of goods from stores in Brockenhurst, Southampton and Winchester was jailed for 16 weeks.
Miles Filose (42), of no fixed abode, admitted nine thefts, as well as one attempted theft, between 30th October and 21st November.
Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard Filose took £29.50 of meat from Tesco Express on Brookley Road in Brockenhurst, as well as £70 of Armani fragrance from Boots and £13.92 of chocolate and sweets from Poundland, both on the city’s Above Bar Street.
Having stolen £35 of perfume from White Stuff in West Quay Shopping Centre, the defendant was ordered to fully reimburse the store.
He snatched a £50.80 bottle of fragrance and £100 of perfume in two separate thefts from WestQuay’s John Lewis store.
Other thefts included a £45 wallet from Suave Owl and two pairs of gloves valued at £90 from Oliver Bonas, both on High Street in Winchester, as well as £90 of clothes from Crew Clothing on Market Street.
Filose also tried to steal £194 of menswear and fragrances from the John Lewis in WestQuay.
