Plans to build three new homes off Ashley Road in New Milton on surplus Ashley Junior School land

A DEVELOPER has submitted plans to build three new homes on surplus junior school land in New Milton.

Wootton Homes Ltd wants to build one detached house and a pair of semi-detached houses, each with three bedrooms, between 78 and 80 Ashley Road, Ashley.

Documents submitted to New Forest District Council stated: "The site is that of the former pedestrian access to Ashley Junior School.

"The land has not been maintained for some time and it has become very overgrown with brambles, weeds and self-seeded trees."

A similar application for three "eco homes" was approved by NFDC in August but the site has since changed ownership, it added.

The site layout and building form is "broadly similar" to the previous proposal, documents stated, and retains an identical access point.

NFDC will make a decision after the deadline for public comments on 15th February.
