Redrow Southern Counties donates £400 to Beaulieu Village Primary School for new T-shirts and hoodies

BUDDING young athletes will get new training kits thanks to a donation from a developer.

Redrow Southern Counties donated £400 to Beaulieu Village Primary School to help them buy matching T-shirts and hoodies for more than 100 pupils.

A company spokesperson said the kit should help the young teamsters feel a “sense of community and belonging” when competing against other schools.

Senior teacher Caroline Cunningham said: “Sports are vital for children, providing lessons in teamwork and responsibility while helping them to stay active. Other schools’ teams have come to competitions decked out in matching kits and we wanted to provide the same for our teams to help them build confidence.

“On behalf of everyone at Beaulieu Village Primary School, including our pupils, I would like to thank Redrow for their generous donation. These new kits are not just uniforms, they are a tool for giving our teams a boost of team spirit.”

The donation was part of Redrow Southern Counties’ community fund, which launched this year to provide community organisations and schools with “donations to help them thrive”.

Redrow Southern Counties’ sales director, Mark Vanson, said: “Sport is a cornerstone of community, bringing people together and supporting mental and physical wellbeing. Across our developments we have designated open spaces for play to encourage children to get outside and promote a better way to live.

“We are delighted to be able to help Beaulieu Village Primary School support their young athletes and wish them the best of luck in their upcoming competitions.”
