New Milton Cricket Club allowed to install artificial pitch at Fernhill Sports Ground, but town council stress it must be shared with everyone

NEW Milton Cricket Club was given the go-ahead to install a new artificial pitch on condition it is open for use by everyone.

The town council’s amenities committee recently considered the application put forward by the club for the bottom square of Fernhill Sports Ground, where it is based.

Committee chairman Cllr Geoff Blunden expressed his support, but stressed it must comply with original lease terms and not be for sole use.
