A NEW MILTON man has appeared in court accused of raping a woman.

Thomas Okopskyj (24), of Buckingham Walk, did not enter a plea to a charge of committing the offence in Lymington on 25th May last year.

The alleged victim cannot be named for legal reasons.

Okopskyj was granted bail by Southampton magistrates on condition he does not contact named witnesses.

He is also barred from going to a specified area, and must live and sleep at his home address.

He will next appear at the city’s crown court on 24th July.
