New Milton man Alastair Iles in court over offensive pictures sent via Snapchat

A NEW Milton man who sent offensive images to people via Snapchat has appeared in court.

Alastair Iles (37), of Winchester Road, denied three counts of sending offensive, indecent or menacing photos or videos to three victims, but was later found guilty.

The images and videos were sent. mostly via Snapchat, between January 2019 and June 2021.

Judge Anthony Callaway, sitting at Southampton Magistrates Court, ordered the defendant to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity and 60 days’ unpaid community work over 12 months.

Iles was also ordered to pay £95 in court charges and made the subject of a restraining order preventing him from contacting any of his three victims until 14th March, 2027.
