Trooli installs new ultra-fast broadband service for Ashurst, Holbury, Lyndhurst, Marchwood and Ringwood, with Milford, Brockenhurst and Lymington on the way

A RAFT of rural homes and businesses in the New Forest now have the opportunity for ultra-fast broadband.

Ashurst, Holbury, Lyndhurst, Marchwood and Ringwood have been given access to transfer speeds up to 1Gbps, independent broadband specialist Trooli has announced.

The speed is around 17 times the national average and is part of a new network laid in Hampshire areas "largely overlooked by mainstream providers".

Work is also under way to expand the network to Milford, Brockenhurst and Lymington.

Andy Conibere, chief executive of Trooli, said: “Having successfully pioneered our service in other rural parts of the country, we are excited to have expanded and to see our network go live.

“Our ultra-fast broadband allows people to work much more effectively from home and can easily accommodate busy, data-hungry households where families are connecting multiple devices to the internet at the same time.

“Inadequate broadband is rife in many smaller towns and villages, to the detriment of residents and local businesses. We are determined to change that with our new full fibre network.”

Rather than use Openreach's copper telephone cabling, Trooli installs its own full fibre network which can be accessed by 275,000 premises.

It is hoping to expand this to 1-million properties by the end of 2024.
