One hurt in crash which caused long delays on A35 Barrack Road, near Fountain Roundabout, in Christchurch




ONE person was hurt in a crash between a van and a car which caused long traffic delays on a main Christchurch road.

Emergency crews responded to the collision involving a Volkswagen and an Audi Q2, which happened on the A35 Barrack Road, near the Fountain Roundabout, shortly before 3.30pm yesterday (Monday).

Local firefighters were guided by paramedics as they helped the casualty from a vehicle.

They were taken by ambulance to hospital with what were described by Dorset Police as minor injuries.

Vehicles were said to have been queuing back along the bypass, with long delays before the scene was cleared around 7.30pm.
