TWO men have been arrested after lead was stolen during a burglary at Totton Tennis Centre early this morning (Monday).
Officers responded a report from a member of the public who heard noises at the site on Aikman Lane at around 1.40am.
With the help of a police dog, two men were found in nearby woodlands, along with a bag of tools, gloves, head torches and screwdrivers, a spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said.
A large amount of lead was missing from the centre's roof, and a number of pieces of lead flashing were found rolled up on the ground.
A 39-year-old man from Totton was arrested on suspicion of theft and attempted burglary, and a 19-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of theft.
The pair remain in custody.
