Pair arrested over knife threats at Hardley while due to speak with police about road rage incident
TWO men were arrested after allegedly threatening a person at knifepoint as they were due to meet with police about another matter at Hardley.
Officers were alerted to the attack, which took place on Wednesday, when the pair were to provide a statement in relation to a road rage incident from the previous day.
They detained a 17-year-old boy from Totton on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, possessing a knife in a public place, possessing counterfeit currency and criminal damage.
A 20-year-old man from Eastleigh was also arrested on suspicion of the same offences, as well as arson.
A post on the Waterside Cops Facebook page said: “On their way to the station they decided to threaten someone with a knife so were swiftly arrested upon arriving at Hardley police office.
“A search of their vehicle located a knife, a catapult, counterfeit currency, a fake police lanyard and a blue emergency light bar for a vehicle.
“Enquiries are ongoing but needless to say this was not how we expected their statements to go.”
