Two men face GBH charges over alleged assault at Wessex Estate in Ringwood which left man seriously injured




TWO men are due in court in connection with an alleged assault in Ringwood which left a man badly hurt.

Police responded to a callout to Wessex Estate around 4.15pm on Friday reporting a man in his 40s had been attacked.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his face.

Officers arrested and later charged two men.

Michael Sadler (29), of Westbury Close in Bransgore, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and assault by beating.

Leo Shields (25), of no fixed abode, also faces an allegation of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The pair were remanded in custody and are set to appear before Southampton magistrates today (Monday).
