Betsy-Jade King and Robert Jones charged with multiple shopliftings at Sainsbury’s Local on Hampton Lane in Blackfield




TWO people have appeared in court charged with targeting the same Blackfield store in multiple shopliftings.

Betsy-Jade King (28) and Robert Jones (35), both of Pendleton Gardens in the village, are alleged to have committed the thefts at Sainsbury’s Local on Hampton Lane.

Both appeared before Southampton magistrates, with King pleading not guilty to six counts of shoplifting between 23rd November and 12th December.

Jones pleaded not guilty to three counts of shoplifting at the supermarket.

Both were granted conditional bail to reappear at the same court on Monday 20th January 2025.
