A MAN and a woman sought in connection with an alleged assault on a teenage boy at McDonald’s in Christchurch made contact with police following a CCTV appeal.

Images of the pair were released on Friday as officers investigated reports a 15-year-old boy had been attacked at the fast food restaurant in Somerford Road.

The incident took place just after 5pm on Thursday 6 June when the boy, who was eating with a group of youngsters, reportedly took some food from one of his friends and left the restaurant.

When the boy returned he was said to have been approached by a man who made comments about taking someone else’s food and pushed him against the wall.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Following a CCTV appeal, a man and a woman have made contact with police. No arrests have been made.”

The spokesperson added the incident was still under investigation.
