Pennington firm HS Butyl set for court appearance after worker hurt




A PENNINGTON company has been accused of failing to ensure health and safety practices after a worker was hurt.

HS Butyl Ltd, based at Gordleton Industrial Park, is charged with one count of contravening the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 by not ensuring measures were taken to prevent access to dangerous parts of machinery, leading to an employee being injured.

The firm produces synthetic rubber tapes.

The case will be heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court on 14th April when a plea is expected to be entered.
