A TRIBUTE show dedicated to legendary Motown singer Marvin Gaye will be at Christchurch Regent Centre later this month.

Hailed as the Prince of Soul with the velvet falsetto, the American singer, songwriter, and record producer started out as an in-house session player and went on to have a solo career with a string of hits.

The show, which is the only UK tribute dedicated exclusively to Marvin Gaye, will feature the soulful vocals of acclaimed singer Wayne Hernandez.

During the show Wayne and his star-studded band promise to take the audience on a journey of reminiscence, calling on some of Gaye’s most iconic hits including How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You), Ain't That Peculiar, I Heard It Through the Grapevine, What’s Going On and Let’s Get It On.

Wayne has worked with Jay Z, Ed Sheeran, Quincy Jones, Rag & Bone Man, Tina Turner, Gorillaz, Tori Amos, Blur, Grover Washington, Roberta Flack and Madonna.

He has also toured extensively with Kool and the Gang and Regina Bell, and is an established songwriter and producer.

An Evening of Marvin Gaye will be will be in Christchurch on Friday 22nd November at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £26 each but we’ve teamed up with the Regent Centre to give one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets by answering the question in this week’s leisure competition.
