MORE than 120 Year 11 Arnewood students celebrated the end of their GCSEs with a prom.
Held at Elmer’s Court in Lymington, they arrived in classic cars and stretch limousines, one group arriving on mobility scooters loaned from a local vendor. Some wore his ’n’ hers matching dresses and ties.
Head of year at the New Milton School, Paul Emecz, said: “The students all looked spectacular. Their behaviour was impeccable and praised by the venue.
“It was wonderful to see so many teachers and members of staff attending the evening to wish students well, celebrating the achievements leading up to this point and looking forward to the future as they join Arnewood Sixth Form or follow other paths.
“This year group started in Year 7 when Covid struck, and were in Year 8 for the second lockdown.
“I am so proud of how they have overcome these challenges and have all reached this point with concrete plans for September and beyond.”
