Oakhaven Hospice in Lymington launches official rose in fundraising drive

A hospice has launched an official rose in an effort to raise much-needed cash.

The striking pure white climbing rose with big bright blooms can reach impressive heights of up to 2.5 metres. Hardy and vibrant, it thrives in both large containers and in the ground.

It is available to buy online at Harkness Roses, priced at £29.99, of which £2.50 goes to Oakhaven. The plant is delivered in a three-litre pot.

Jill West, community and events manager for Oakhaven Hospice, said, “We are delighted to be able to launch an official Oakhaven Hospice rose, that makes a great gift, or a memorial to a loved one.

“The Oakhaven Hospice gardens are simply stunning and this new rose variety enables our supportive community to bring a little Oakhaven into their garden, whilst also helping to raise vital funds.”
