Plea for witnesses and dashcam footage after motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash with three cars at Hurn
A MOTORCYCLIST was badly hurt in a crash with three cars at Hurn yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
Police investigating the incident, which took place around 1.20pm in Parley Lane, near its junction with Merritown Lane, are urging witnesses and those with dash cam footage to come forward.
Officers responded, along with paramedics, after a grey Kawasaki motorcycle was involved in the smash with a black Seat Arona, a grey Vauxhall Astra and a black Citroen DS3.
The biker, a Bournemouth man in his 60s, was taken by ambulance to Poole General Hospital with injuries believed to have been serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.
No one else was reported to have been hurt.
Road closures were put in place as emergency crews dealt with the incident and the scene examined.
PC Gavin Newbury, of Dorset’s traffic unit, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.
“I would urge any witnesses to the incident itself, or the manner of driving of the vehicles involved prior to it, to please come forward if you have not already spoken to police.
“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around the relevant time and has dash cam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
