Police appeal for help to find high street hit-and-run driver

A PEDESTRIAN was hurt in a collision with a vehicle that failed to stop in the centre of Lyndhurst.

Paramedics and police responded to reports a man had been struck by what was described as a small turquoise or blue car.

The incident happened in High Street between midday and 1pm on Thursday 30 May.

The vehicle, which was believed to have been driven by a woman, did not stop at the scene.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said the casualty, a man in his 60s from Stoney Cross, suffered minor injuries.

Officers investigating the incident are urging the driver or any people who might know her to come forward, along with those who may have seen it happen.
