Police hunting off-road rider of ‘illegal’ motorcycle seen damaging Forest floor at Busketts lawn and inclosure, near Ashurst




POLICE are urging people to help identify an off-road biker causing damage to the New Forest.

Sharing grainy images of the suspect online, a local officer said many onlookers had seen the bike ridden in and around the Busketts lawn and inclosure area near Ashurst on many occasions.

He was said to have been seen coming to and from the area via Woodlands Road.

“[The bike] is very loud and doesn’t have a number plate which, of course, makes it illegal,” the post said.

“It is also causing considerable damage to the Forest floor which I am sure you know is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and as such is legally protected.”
