Police arrest five people after two hurt in town 'street brawl'

FIVE people were arrested by police who responded to reports of a street brawl in Totton that left two people injured.

Officers in a fleet of patrol cars rushed to an address in Salisbury Road at 9.50pm last night (Wednesday), a Hampshire Police spokesman said.

A 23-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and an ambulance was called to take him to Southampton General Hospital.

A 20-year-old woman sustained minor injuries to her legs. A car was also damaged, the force spokesman confirmed.

He added: “Officers have arrested five people on suspicion of various offences in connection with this incident.

“They are all currently in police custody.”
