Cyclist sought by police after harassing woman by accusing her of following him on Lymington High Street
POLICE are hunting a cyclist who harassed a woman by accusing her of following him in Lymington town centre.
The victim, who is in her 60s, was targeted by a man who rode up behind her on High Street, asking for her name and making the accusation.
She was “caused alarm and distress” by the incident, which happened between 9.50pm and 10pm on Thursday 22nd May between Boots and the Royal Mail sorting office.
People are urged to come forward to help identify the suspect. He is described as white, aged between 35 and 45, slim build, with light and messy hair which looked curly.
A Hampshire force spokesperson said: “If you were in the area at the time and witnessed anything of the incident, or you think you may know the identity of the man described above, please contact 101 and quote incident number 44250226313.
“We’d also like to hear from you if you have any footage of the incident, including CCTV, dash cam, mobile phone or doorbell camera.”
