POLICE have released this dashcam image of a man they want to trace after three cars were so badly vandalised they have been written off.

The vehicles – a silver Ford Mondeo, a silver Citroen C4 and a blue Volkswagen Golf – were targeted while parked in a lay-by near to All Saints Parish Church in Ringwood Road, St Leonards, around 4pm on Monday.

As investigations into the criminal damage incidents continue, people are being urged to come forward if they recognise the suspect in the image or if they witnessed any suspicious activity.

Police community support investigator Steve Willis said: “The damage caused to all vehicles has had a significant impact on the owners as their cars have been considered a write-off.

“As part of my enquiry I am issuing an image taken from a dashcam in one of the cars in the hope that someone will recognise the suspect.

“If you have any information that can assist my investigation, please get in touch.”

Anyone with information should contact Dorset officers on 101, quoting crime reference number 55190113231, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
