POLICE have released this CCTV image of a motorcyclist they want to trace after camera equipment was stolen in a raid on a home at Woodlands, near Ashurst.

The house in Woodlands Road was targeted around 1.15pm on Monday, when a man on a motorbike was seen to arrive and knock on the front door just before a rear patio door was smashed to gain entry.

After ransacking the inside of the property, the offender escaped with the camera equipment.

The suspect was described as wearing a dark motorcycle jacket, with a red, white and black helmet. Officers believe the number plate on the motorbike could be linked to a different vehicle.

People are being urged to come forward if they witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the burglary, or if they might recognise the biking apparel shown in the CCTV image.

A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “Do you recognise this motorbike helmet? Perhaps you have seen it recently?

“Or does the bike look familiar to you? If so, we would like to hear from you.”

Anyone with information should contact the force on 101, quoting crime reference number 44190395610, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
