Dorset officers have detained and questioned a 26-year-old following an incident in which a man was said to have repeatedly tried to kiss her and ask personal questions.
The woman, who was in her 20s, had got on board the 1A Yellow Bus on the Barrack Road stop by the KFC outlet on 11th March at about 3.20pm.
A couple of stops later by the Tesco garage in Barrack Road two men got onto the bus, and one of them moved onto the seat next to the victim.
A police spokesperson said: “It is alleged he made advances toward the victim, repeatedly asking her personal questions.
“He mentioned her perfume and started leaning toward her before attempting to kiss her neck around five times.
“It is reported he continued to attempt to engage with the victim and inappropriately touched her leg three or four times despite her asking him to stop.”
As reported in the A&T, officers released a CCTV image of a man as part of their investigations.
