Police plea for CCTV and dashcam footage as three arrested after cyclist seriously injured in crash
THREE men have been arrested after a cyclist was badly hurt in a collision with a car in Calmore.
Paramedics and police responded to the incident involving a silver Skoda, which took place at the junction of Hill Street and the A36 Salisbury Road just after 2pm on Sunday.
The rider, a man in his 40s from Totton, was taken by ambulance to hospital, having suffered serious injuries.
Officers detained the trio, a 21-year-old from Holbury, a 19-year-old from Woodlands and a 19-year-old from Totton, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
All three have since been released under investigation as enquiries continued.
Police are now urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward, particularly those who may have dash cam footage or CCTV of the collision or the moments leading up to it.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for homeowners on the A36 Salisbury Road to check any CCTV they may have which overlooks the road and may have captured footage of the two Fabias between 1.45pm and 2pm on Sunday afternoon (October 11)."
