Police seize gun and knife from boys aged 14 and 15 in New Forest park
A BB GUN and a lock knife were found on two teens in a New Forest park during a series of police incidents on Sunday evening.
Alerted to reports of a BB gun being used in Memorial Park in Testwood Lane, Totton, shortly after 7pm, officers found two boys, aged 14 and 15.
A search of the local pair resulted in the gun and a lock-knife being recovered.
Neither pair was arrested, and a spokesperson for the Hampshire force said they were expected to be voluntarily interviewed.
Officers also took a large haul of amphetamines from the driver of a vehicle they stopped in Lyndhurst that evening.
As well as the possession offences, the man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of either drugs or alcohol and having no insurance.
Police also found and arrested a man who was wanted on a warrant.
