Owners of Fiat 500 cars warned to be vigilant after spate of thefts
POLICE are warning owners of Fiat 500 cars to be vigilant after a spate of thefts in the New Forest.
Three models were stolen overnight between 11th and 23rd December, police announced.
Two of the vehicles have been recovered but one one is still missing.
Officers warned Fiat 500 owners to be vigilant and added: "If you have the ability to store it in a garage overnight that would be ideal.
"If this isn't an option, think about how you place your vehicle on the drive, can you block the Fiat in with another vehicle?
"Do you have a steering lock; can you make it harder for your vehicle to be a target?"
They added: "Officers are aware of the thefts and are patrolling but please do whatever you can to remove your vehicle from sight or to make it less appealing to a thief."
