Police warn they will seize vehicles after off-road bikers reported near play park by Copythorne Parish Hall
OFF-ROAD bikers have been warned they will have their vehicles seized after reports of dangerous riding near a New Forest play park
Police attended after motorcycles were said to have been ridden near Copythorne Parish Hall, off Pollards Moor Road, yesterday (Monday) evening.
They found heavy tyre tracks gouged into the car park, believed to have been caused by a rider performing doughnuts.
A Facebook post by local officers said: “Using any vehicle like this can be dangerous not only to the rider or driver but also to pedestrians and bystanders.
“So we are going to be spending a lot more time in the area and we will be using Section 59 of the Road Traffic Act to deal with anyone behaving in this way, and we will be seizing vehicles.”
