Residents to vote for new district council representative for Bransgore, Burley, Sopley and Ringwood East ward




RESIDENTS in a New Forest ward will go to the polls today (Thursday) to choose a new district representative.

As reported in the A&T, New Forest District Council confirmed a by-election for a new Bransgore, Burley, Sopley and Ringwood East ward councillor after Neil Millington of the Green Party stepped down.

New Forest Green Party said in a statement Mr Millington would be relocating after a change in personal circumstances and was “unable to continue in his role”.

Standing for the seat is Barbara Czoch for the Green Party, Adam Elcock for Reform UK, Richard Frampton for the Conservatives, Sally Johnston for Labour, and Iestyn Lewis for the Liberal Democrats.

Polling stations are at Bransgore, Burley and Sopley village halls and are open until 10pm.

The other seat in the ward is held by independent Nigel Linford.
