Pupils told to self-isolate amid two cases of coronavirus at The Arnewood School
PUPILS have been urged to self-isolate after two cases of Covid-19 were discovered at a New Milton school this week.

It followed an incident on Monday of a pupil from another year group bubble also testing positive.
In both cases, Mr Pressnell said additional letters had been sent to a small number of children who had been in close contact with the two youngsters.
“The two separate instances on Monday and today have been in different year group bubbles and the individuals concerned, who have both acted responsibly, are not related,” Mr Pressnell wrote.
“We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.
“This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (Covid-19) will be a mild illness.”
Youngsters who are told they have had close contact must stay at home for 14 days.
If any child develops symptoms they must stay at home for at least 10 days, and all other members of the household or support bubble must also not go out for at least 14 days.
Anyone with symptoms is eligible for testing which can be arranged via www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 119.

Any symptomatic child must also be reported through this service which will be monitored by staff to ensure a swift response.
Mr Pressnell added: “The school remains open and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well and have not been told to self-isolate.”
