Lymington RNLI lifeboat crew rescue yacht sailor with head injury at mouth of Lymington River




LYMINGTON RNLI rescuers went to the aid of a sailor who had suffered a head injury.

Called to the casualty at the mouth of Lymington River, the David Bradley Atlantic 85 lifeboat reached his 36ft vessel 12 minutes later.

Helm James Douch brought the lifeboat alongside so Phil Baker and Greg Pachany could board and assess the injury.

Taken back to Lymington harbour, the sailor was monitored before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
