Lockdown staff boost for Clever Software Group
A RINGWOOD software development company has seen its staff numbers more than double over the course of THE pandemic lockdown.
Clever Software Group has taken on six new staff since the pandemic hit in March last year, including four since January – and business is going so well the firm is hoping to take on a further five in the coming months.
The recent recruits included user interface designer Doukas Kosmopoulos, project manager Megan Coombes, digital marketing executive Gemma Harvey and software developers Leigh Eversden, James Mussett and Andrew Bryon.
After months of working at home, the whole team was finally able to come together as lockdown restrictions eased.
“It’s amazing to have the whole team back under one roof again, especially with so many new faces to welcome to the team,” said the firm's managing director Andrew Matthews.
“Thanks to everyone’s unbeatable work ethic throughout the multiple lockdowns, the company finds itself in an incredibly strong position. We have been able to quickly and efficiently adapt to clients’ changing needs, to ensure they were able to continue operations smoothly, whilst being able to acquire new prospects.”
Clever Software Group, which now employs 10 staff in total, was set up by self-taught developer Andrew in 2016 and relocated from Ferndown to Ringwood last summer with an eye on expansion.
It creates software solutions, from customer-relations and workflow management software to database management and cloud migration.
Of his newly united team, Andrew said: "I’m incredibly proud of them.
“We wouldn’t be in the position we are today without their outstanding attitude to problem solving and wanting to keep our clientele ahead of the curve.”
